Welcome to Trena Laine and The Esthetic Institute’s comprehensive makeup program that blends on-demand virtual training and in-person workshops to further advance your skills or a new hobby.

Our Makeup Artist program is available via Trena Laine’s Professional Makeup Artist online training platform and allows the convenience of learning the first volume of your education through extensive theory and practical videos combined. Learn at your own pace, set the tone, and create your study schedule as you see fit. As a class, we will set goals and determine where we will need to be throughout the 12-week course, however, you choose how you wish to proceed with those goals.

The online component consists of 6 detailed specific courses that all finish with a compact but challenging theory exam before proceeding onto the next course. As an aspiring artist achieving their dream, you will appreciate each course as you study along and prepare for the few in-person training workshops and final makeup and hair photoshoots. Courses include and not limited to Fundamentals, Advanced Skin Conditions, Wedding Makeup, Event Makeup, Fashion Makeup, Camera and Photography Makeup, Simple Hairstyling, Lash and Lip Applications, and intro to Business & Career Startup.

The practical knowledge you will acquire will teach you how to approach real-life client issues, including addressing different skin types and conditions, as well as gaining an understanding of when trends do not apply. Our accredited diploma program is designed for aspiring students to be prepared for the entire experience of working with clients confidently in different professional settings.

Whether you are new to makeup or been in the industry for a bit or perhaps just want to learn for fun, our Makeup Artist Program is available to anyone with a passion for beauty.

Following weeks into your online training, we will be meeting up in person to gain further technical skillsets with your coaches all under one roof. 

We begin to shape your branding and marketing needs while allowing you to learn and understand certain techniques with your makeup and intro to hair-styling applications. From full-face makeup applications to styling hair, you begin to experience services you may provide including and not limited to fashion, wedding, corporate, commercial, and lifestyle such as grad or maternity. We also encourage capturing content for your social needs along the way and sharing some insight on how to shamelessly promote yourself during our time together.

This one-day workshop nearing the end of your 12-week program is going to be focused on 2 models with one major look per model. We assign you your professional models to work on. 

Simple headshots that show off your professional makeup and hair to use for all your marketing and branding needs. 

The goal is to achieve a few photos to capture your business brand and help you kick off your career or new hobby in thecorrect direction.
