INDIGENOUS FUNDING FOR POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION
At The Esthetic Institute Training Center we proudly support Indigenous learners and accept funding from First Nations, Métis, and Inuit organizations and communities across Canada.
WHAT IS INDIGENOUS POST-SECONDARY FUNDING?
Many Indigenous students in Canada are eligible for financial support to pursue their post-secondary education. This funding is often administered through individual band offices, Tribal Councils, Métis organizations, or Inuit governing bodies, and may cover:
Tuition and mandatory fees
Books and supplies
Living allowances
Travel costs for students relocating to study
HOW TO APPLY:
Students typically apply for funding directly through their band or Indigenous organization. Each community may have its own deadlines, requirements, and application forms, so early planning is key. Required documents often include:
A letter of acceptance or enrollment
Education plan or program details
Budget estimate (tuition, books, living costs)
NOTE: TEI requires a letter from the student's Band/Funding resource confirming their approval to fund or sponsor the student's tuition to secure their seat in class.
